Just focus on your game!
1. Run good
2. You can’t win if you fold
Try not to play out of position – Seriously. Everyone says so for a reason.
The min bet – this is weak so the best action is to raise and fold to a re-raise. If opponent calls, proceed with caution. A well-timed second barrel may be required to win.
The check-raise on any street – 90% it’s not a bluff, proceed only with very strong holdings. Don’t try and bluff. Don’t waste money and call.
KK/QQ/JJ – On an A-high board don’t get too carried away. Consider folding, or control the pot and try to get to show-down.
Facing an all-in – Look at the player and see if there is a reason NOT to fold!
When someone minDonks or SmallDonks, just raise them. If they call, Bet the turn. If they call again. Give up, make note.
When they Limp, Raise! If they Limp-ReRaise, Fold.
If you find a way to abuse/Exploit someone. Dont think they will adapt! Just keep pounding on them. you Will know when(IF!!!) they adapt.
If you can’t call, always consider a raise.
Big Hand – Big pot! 3betting, 4 betting, check-raising, whatever gets the money in and will be called.
Small Hand – Small pot, otherwise, opt for folding.
Before you make a bet Make sure you have an answer to the question „why am I betting” that includes the phrase „villains range is…”
Before you make a bet, plan ahead for the next action – is is a bet-raise, bet-call or a bet-fold? You might anticipate a bet call against a very loose player but what would you do if a tight player wakes up and calls behind?
You should rarely have a plan that involves calling a three bet out of position – 4-bet or fold.
Value bet, value bet, value bet, but when you face aggression seriously consider folding.
Set up your river value-bets to be larger.
Villains tend to call much more thinly than they bet, so absent a read or a specific spot, bet/folding is better than check/calling
People get way out of line on paired flops. With the exception of nits. (let me know if the nits thing was intended in humour, but I’ve observed the same for myself)
it’s OK to raise/fold – it’s not turning your hand into a bluff if you can get called by a worse hand, but not raised. But preflop maths means that 4bet/folding a decent (i.e. not a bluff) hand is rarely a good idea because of pot odds.
Poker is not a game to be played when you are tired, unwell, or drunk!
Make sure that you are alert 😊and able to play you’re ‘A-game’ whenever you join a table.
